BioNTech is a pioneering biotech company developing mRNA-based immunotherapies and vaccines.
I was brought in to optimize their multi-brand design system, which had become over-engineered and difficult to use across different product lines and teams. My goal: simplify, unify, and scale.
I audited existing components, removed redundant patterns, and restructured the system into a lean, coherent hierarchy. I worked closely with designers and developers to ensure the updated system was intuitive and usable across brands. I also documented the new system and usage guidelines to support adoption and consistency.
The result: a design system that’s easier for teams to pick up and maintain, reduces design friction, and scales across BioNTech’s evolving product suite.
